Gallery Walls

Minimum hire 4 days (Thursday-Sunday)
Maximum hire 12 days (Thursday-Sunday x3 weeks)
Set-up day is a Wednesday
Take down day is prior arranged
1x private view with the shop open - Thursday 6pm-8pm
2 walls for hire, £15 hire per wall, per day, plus 30% commission on sales
works not for sale, £150 per week for both walls
photography documentation of the exhibition and any graphics required can be arranged and paid with our in-house team
Examples of original work we are looking for, but not limited to -
paintings, lino prints, photography, patchwork quilts, wall hangings, illustration.

Wall one total size = 2m wide x 3m high

Available to use is a bench and a peg board
Bench -100cm x 46cm
Peg board - 60cm x100cm Wall one total size = 2m wide x 3m high
Wall two total size = 2.08m wide x 3m high

Available are 2 permanent picture ledges.
43cm apart and 89cm wide
Please note, there is a radiator underneath the ledges
Our 2 gallery walls are in the shop, therefore we expect the work to also be on sale unless organised otherwise. You must liaise with us regarding your ideas for hanging works prior to setting up, as we may not be able to accommodate every idea eg. ‘Gallery’ style walls with lots of small framed images, due to the damage to the walls. Painting the wall an alternative colour to white is not permitted, unless otherwise arranged.
The exhibitor is wholly responsible for invigilation staff (if required), and the return of the wall/s to its original state and condition. If the space is deemed to be left unsatisfactory after the hire, SPOT holds the right to request any additional fee’s necessary to return the walls to their original state and condition. Filler and white paint is available to use. We request the works to be originals.

As the shop is a curated space, we like to choose artists who’s work fits in and may not be able to work with everybody, but we love having conversations about your work, so please get in touch.

Evening Workshops

Hire a Thursday or Friday evening 5.30pm-9.30pm (our shop closes at 5pm both days)

Suitable for up to 10 people
Hire is £60 per 4 hour session or £15 per hour up to 4 hours
Not suitable for potentially messy/dirty workshops such as clay or painting due to the table being in our shop space
Chairs will be available
The main table would be best standing up to work at. A second smaller table is more suitable for working seated
photography documentation of the workshop and any graphics required can be arranged and paid with our in-house team

Our basement event space will be available for hire once refurbishments have been completed.
